I think the fundamental problem besides LLMs in general is that the sheer volume of Google search queries means whatever model Google has hooked up to do AI summaries must be extremely limited in both parameters and context so it just amplifies the worst aspects of the technology. ...which is then placed front and center, like your waiter revealing dog shit under a shiny silver platter
