@drewph@ieji.de Technically, Librewolf did the asking, not the web page.
It doesn't matter that the data is wrong, only that it is unique and identifiable. They can still track you across websites and build a profile. I set Librewolf to its strictest mode, reloaded the page, and it welcomed me back to my second visit.

@RockyC@fosstodon.org So presumably the answer is to randomise things frequently - like reporting a fake resolution, a different platform, frequent change of VPN location, etc.
