There are few issues with this response I must point out.
1. Android is a Linux distribution that is officially "open-source".
2. While Linux has so many CVEs which discover rate was accelerate by AI, closed-source systems aren't except to CVEs. You just don't see it and they won't tell you, which I would argue is worse. (They mostly do not even bother fixing those as they'd need to pay those fixing it, with open-source, there're people & companies fixing those)

You see, there aren't many competing Linux alternatives to the Android distro. Ubuntu Touch isn't really usable. The discussion should be rather about distros whose base is Andoird. For example GrapheneOS which is hardened specifically for security. (2/2)
