RE: https://mas.to/@timwaterman/117069887901562243 I started reading Earthsea, because it came up on Mastodon a lot and I was not disappointed. The cool thing is to see the world, its protagonist and the author grow leaps and bounds from book to book. The pacing is very much that of a story written in a different era and by that I don't mean the 20th century, it feels like 14th or 16th century to me. That might put some people off, but it's worth pushing through initially, because after a few pages the story carries you forward effortlessly.
