I dunno if my ubuntu installation was just borked from using + updating it for a few years but it seemed like it was using hella CPU (fan running all the time) while not doing much; Fedora so far seems a lot quieter, but maybe that's just because it's a fresh install and i haven't had time to get my sticky idiot fingers into it yet
