The response to the 28 July US and Saudi strike on Iraq's Popular Mobilisation Forces, the state-funded paramilitaries that include Iran-aligned factions, is now scheduled for later. Hadi al-Amiri, head of the Badr Organization, urged the Islamic Resistance in Iraq to "postpone any response" and "endure these wounds patiently" (Rudaw, 7 August). The reason he gave was Iraq's higher interest.
