Yes Musk has a very long record of not paying people until they eventually sue him. This isn't a new thing, this has been a kind of lifelong thing of Musk's. Salomone was persuaded by a video deposition of Joseph Killian, a former Twitter executive, who testified that Twitter stopped paying rent in December 2022 as a “renegotiating tactic — a tactic to save money.” This has literally been Musk his entire life.
