@elana@babka.social There was one study in particular which I remember where the vax wasn't great at keeping the hamsters from catching COVID, but it did stop onward transmission. Most of the vaccines keep animals from passing it on by keeping them from getting sick in the first place. I'll dig up some studies, but it might take a few days. Infectious diseases research is a hobby I picked up during Surviving a Pandemic; I'm retired. Apparently I enjoy reading papers (well, usually the abstracts with occasional forays depper into the paper if it looks really interesting) and news articles and summarizing the juicy ones.
