That sounds tough. I've definitely looked up some conditions where the recommended non-pharmacologic management may involve weight loss, diet, and exercise first, but I don't know if it's understood why.
I wonder how accessible dieticians are? I work in a setting with uninsured patients and often they decline my (free) referral to our lone dietician.

@bich@apobangpo.space Yeah, I'm not sure if it's a cost thing or a matter of patients not really knowing what a dietician does. A lot of times uninsured people are afraid they'll be judged bc they don't have the budget to eat healthier and the thought of having to navigate that with a professional they don't know can be scary. /:
