@elaterite@mastoart.social Part of the problem is that people, including electeds, are more willing to organize and make effort on their own individual behalf than to get organized on behalf of cause, principle, or their constituents. Another part of the problem in this case is that they all, again selfishly, couldn’t wait to go home. 1/

Yet another part of the problem is that the Dem congressional leadership is overwhelmed: they don’t have a systematic plan for doing what you urge, in part because they can’t agree on what to fight and when to show their fight. All problems exacerbated by being in run up to midterms. 2/2
