That said doing various postgrad courses while working, not aiming at an MA or anything, the need to reference stuff, in that institution’s house style, for my dissertation drove me bonkers. Later in life I didn’t even bother to do one. Not needing the certificate as such.

@TerryBTwo@ohai.social One of the most annoying aspects of academic publishing was submitting to different journals with different referencing conventions & styles (often requiring the complete re-jigging of referencing for different submissions). grrrr
