An interesting aspect is that for the first 2 weeks, the young people at efterskole have all their screens taken away. And apparently this is a popular choice among the teenagers themselves

Ruth_Mottram - Dropping one of the teenagers off at efterskole today, every 4th car on the motorway has a bike on the back, presumably also with teens efterskole-bound.
It's a rite of passage and also a kind of reverse migration to the countryside away from the city.
*Efterskole is an optional year, usually at a boarding school between basic school and 6th form/further education (in British terms). Around 40% of Danish kids do it.
