If it helps, my end goal is to stream EDM performances of old jazz standards and my own tunes. I know that I have to work with a performing rights org for performance rights of those standards because so few of them are in the public domain. That side of this is going to involve at least a consultation with an attorney before I do anything serious with this.

@unsafelyhotboots@sharkey.world hm, I reckon if you’re hosting Owncast you might as well host Ghost too? Both are quick to do in Docker. DMCA: none of that to deal with at all. It just doesn’t come up, even for the DJ streams I know of. I guess someone would have to go to the trouble of reporting a VOD? Unlike something like Twitch, where some of my 100% live improvised audio was muted the other day for a false-positive Content ID match 😂
