She wanted to defect, and I was going to help her and her little sister escape. Together, we had established a way for me to jump from the compound in my reality to the one in hers, both of which were gravel lots with portable sheet metal buildings, and parked industrial vehicles. We had been doing practice runs of the escape by pretending that we were running training drills using "captured" red equiptment. I thought that we were ready, but [Woman I Loved] and [Little Sister] still had loose ends to tie up, so it wouldn't be today. [Little Sister] felt like a daughter to me, so I spent the rest of the day entertaining her by floating around on clipboards through the gravel lot, past the RVs and a random pond that some people used as a beach, as one does when one is in posession of clipboards with magnets strong enough to repel gravity. 9/11

It was time for me to leave, so I returned [Little Sister] to [Woman I Loved]. I approached the inverted sattelite dish, but when I clicked my remote, I got an error message, there wasn't enough power. I reconnected and readjusted the power source for the sattelite dish and tried again multiple times, but it wasn't working. A screen came up, and I began talking to someone about why it wasn't working. It turned out that, because of tariffs, I either had to use a remote with its own power supply, or use the transporter's onscreen menu to use the transporter's power supply. My remote didn't have an independant power supply, but I didn't know what address was assigned to my home dimension, because my remote was just a silver box with two white buttons. I selected the top entry in the list of options, hoping it would be my previous location. It wasn't, and I was sent to an unfamiliar gravel lot with portable buildings. 10/11
