Fred Meyer, a grocery chain owned by Kroger, has decided to go all in on being confusing, I guess hoping that'll get them more customers?
Discounted items don't always show up as such when scanned at self-checkout. Only after I hit the "pay" button. (I can still go back and scan more.)
Some items don't even show up as discounted after that, because I used my physical loyalty card, like an idiot. _Those_ items were only discounted with an *e*coupon. I need to use my app-based loyalty number.

I've also seen items with two discount prices: one for physical card holders, and an extra discount for those with the app. It's very tiresome.
