Cover crops on swales makes sense to me...
Annual cover crops to add nitrogen and mulch;
- vetch
- cow pea
Then seed in perennials.
The one thing that i did not connect with before is that swales on the landscape is designed to be a tree growing system, eventually a food forrest.
