@evan@cosocial.ca asks an important question about the "For You" feed and how it works.
@dansup@mastodon.social says it's completely opt-outable via the app settings, if you don't want that kind of tracking. Additionally, the metrics gathered only affect your own For You feed, and it does not feed into the global algorithm.

@ariadne@social.treehouse.systems a number of questions, but here's one: why are DMs in Loops using unencrypted Notes (like Mastodon, NodeBB, etc.)? Dan says he's been working on supporting E2EE (with alignment from @benpate@mastodon.social), asking for funding to get the work across the finish line. Was also asked why 720p, and when that can be improved. Dan indicates in the positive.
