I'm wondering if you consider this as a textbook or maybe you would dispute its meaning? For convenience I have written out the relevant portions to be translated here: ‘Indien verschillende bewerkingen achter elkaar moeten worden uitgevoerd, dient dit te geschieden in onderstaande volgorde: Machtsverheffing, Worteltrekking —logaritmeneming, Vermenigvuldiging, Deling, Optelling — Aftrekking. Een bewerking, die hoger geplaast is gaat vóór een lager geplaatste bewerking. Worteltrekking en logaritmeneming zijn gelijkwaardig, evenals optelling en aftrekking.’
