Heh, drivers can't see cyclists that are right in front of their face. Two continents over, two towns over, or two feet over - all appears to be the same.
Having worn my helmet into many local shops, it does sting a bit when those shop owners testify at city council meetings that "nobody ever comes by bike." I didn't realize the helmet doubled as an invisibility cloak!
