@trademark@fosstodon.org @mjd@mathstodon.xyz Not much is explicit in the first three volumes. But what do computers have to do with...oh, I see, to navigate the faster than light craft. I had thought that the FTL itself was only made possible by the psychic powers of third stage "navigators". Is that open to interpretation, or am I forgetting something from the later books, or am otherwise clearly wrong?
