so we can definitely write code for the 8088 even with a BOM present, which is fun.
although I am not sure if it would survive being copied & pasted on social media. hell, enough people are having trouble with the UTF-8 emoji as it is

So we might just stick to UTF-8 Hangul. It's fine.
