@LowlyAdjunct@mastodon.social I can see the argument for some people being more tepid about it. How much did this move the plot forward overall? Perhaps not massively, and it could just be setting the table for the next book.
But, for me, the struggle has to be drawn out, both internally and externally. This one did so and I'm not eager for it all to end. 😉

@mlawton@mstdn.social oh agree totally. Nothing more irritating to a psychologist than novellas, let alone whole series, with no character arc. And I may well read it again this weekend just to drag out the pleasure a little longer.
