The more I read about modern day universities the more I realise I had a humanities education nobody now receives and probably will never receive again. Both large since it was the last hurrah of Dawkins mass teaching, and in person since there was no other way. You could easily reproduce the lecture-tutorial-essay format for small groups at a high cost but why would you? Who would want that? It’d be like training linotype operators or photo lab workers
