I think the InfoWars entity protected him from personal liability. The assets from that have been seized and sold off in a lot of cases to fund that, but he can spin up new enterprises and has done so and is trying to shift attention there

Ah, gotcha. Wait, does that mean the Onion essentially owes the Sandy Hook survivors? If so that is just wrong.
