@Ellegaarddk@mstdn.social As far as I know, it is an even bigger operation. The signals from the motorbikes are relayed to helicopters that then relay them to the plane.
It is a quite impressive setup.

@nerdd@mstdn.social @Ellegaarddk@mstdn.social The plane then relays the merged signals from all motorbikes and helicopters to a satellite, which pass it on to a big dish mounted on top of a shipping container near the finishing line, from where the tv crew mix the final result, after the total combined streams are passed through one of these, because the downlink receiver and mixing desk are from different brands:
