"We live in a time where sex, while becoming more and more liberated, is still extremely taboo and constantly under attack both sociopolitically and culturally. There are little-to-no outlets for people safely explore and understand the body, to learn what a healthy intimate (platonic or not) connection looks like, and to do so securely and without shame, judgement or rejection, or the fear of such. Those coming of age do this carelessly, without guidance, without education, and are often taken advantage of, abused, repressed or performing what they see in content across media, coming into adulthood with a great deal of shame, trauma and the potentiality of violence or self-harm. This journey narrates on that, to a degree.
