Local PA food in Lancaster, apart from fresh produce, is significantly starches, sugars and fats. Shoo Fly Pie. AP Cakes. Pretzels. Sticky buns. Cinnamon buns. Comparatively refreshing exceptions include apple butter, "chowchow" pickled vegetable relish, and a cured/fermented beef sausage, Lebanon bologna. It is not a type of food suitable for quick or light eating.
