Who thought that it is a "good" idea to take language and currency settings based on the IP geolocation and not the browser language settings?

@leyrer@23.social or you are Amazon and override any and all account settings based on browser preferences. You log into an Amazon account and it immediately switches to US English on _all_ devices logged into that account. If you change it again, a day later it overrides you again.
