Humans are conformists, and a lot of individual opinion is simply mimesis of what others say and behave like. Be there first, be louder, be more present. Make THEM afraid to disrespect your folks and sprout their shit. Occupy and hold the human terrain. (And yes, that's neither progressive nor enlightened. Just raw power.)
