Went to an #ILoveFS book reading of Ada & Zangemann (https://fsfe.org/activities/ada-zangemann/), which I think overall is a nice story that explains why software freedom is important and big tech is bad. What I like is that the main character is a brown girl who becomes a hacker, which would be good for representation. However, what I do not like at all is that the main character is portrayed as very poor and apart from her family no one else in the story is, which negates the representation by reinforcing racist stereotypes and this makes it tokenism. @fsfe please do better.
