I was talking with my mom about a news story involving an inebriated driver and people with a dashcam. It became an ethics problem.
Our question is, if someone is witnessed breaking the law is it okay for other people to profit off of the incident if they see opportunity to?

Here is the video: https://youtu.be/BroH94bEl9Y It involved two trucks. One truck backs into the other truck presumably leaving a bar. The hit truck follows the other truck which is driving badly, stops them and tells them to pull over. In the story, the hit truck passengers sue the other driver for injury after finding out the driver is an assistant football coach at a large university.
