Why do cameras and lenses have to cost so much :neofox_sob:
I’d like to replace my current camera. This has several reasons:
to have more and better lenses availableto be able to do more low light photography stop losing detail in even slightly more distant parts. idk why, but even when things are in focus, my camera’s sensor doesn’t seem to have the density to capture super fine detail.
The Idea: Get a used Sony a7RII. Good full frame camera with the ability to shoot in APS-C mode (so all of Sony E and FE lenses will work natively). Great low light performance, decent lenses available, they’re not even super duper expensive used… It’s still 800 for the body with a basic zoom lens (both used). It’s a fair price, but ouch anyway :neofox_sob:
Also, My old camera would not be thrown away. It would simply be handed down to my partner, since they have voiced interest in photography, and once they outgrow it I would be happy to give it to the next person that is close enough to me so I know they will treat it well. It was a gift to me back then, It got me started so I would be happy If my first camera could be someone else’s first camera too ^^
