For this week's jukebox music theme of Birds, here is "Carol of the Birds", (El Cant Dels Ocells), a traditional Catalan lullaby carol. It was most famously performed by cellist Pablo Casals at most of his concerts. Here it is sung by Joan Baez, in a recording dedicated to Casals. "When rose the eastern star, the birds came from a-far. In that full night of glory With one melodious voice they sweetly did rejoice, And sang the wondrous story.
