Digital libraries are so funny to me conceptually like "we only have 2 digital copies of this book" no you don't. Digital data is infinitely replicable. You have infinite copies. You just don't want more than 2 to exist at a given time because ??? and ?! and ...? and such. Like it's so hard to take this shit seriously. I need to "wait for a copy to free up." As though there's not just a single .epub on the web server and a "returned" copy is somehow magically not there just because reader programs refuse to open it. Shit's so fake, nothing is real lmao
