*My great-grandparents on my father's side, as well as my mother's father's side, immigrated from Japan, while my mother's mother was born and raised in Hiroshima and left after the war... but it's easier to call myself 4世 than explain all that lol

**idk when my great-grandparents immigrated, whether it was when Hawai'i was still an independent kingdom or after the plantation oligarchs illegally overthrew it. My best guess would be either just before or right at the start of the Bayonet Constitution, which coincided with a lot of people leaving the Kyushu and Hiroshima regions due to crop failures, and my family is from those regions. But like I said. I don't actually know lol, because of *jazz hands* anti-Japanese racism during that time
