@ChrisMayLA6@mastodon.me.uk is the state pension enough for people to retire over there? Here it's not, the US, and if you've stayed at home to raised kids you've lost years going into the social security.

@Pomegranatepirate@kolektiva.social Not really, many people top-it-up with private pensions, but equally many are not in the position to do so... so, while for many its survivable it is not necessary a comfortable retirement.
