You could try realizing that your jargon is not universal (even in your own country!) and not be a vicious twit.

Apologies. I just consider it polite to search first for a definition before asking other people to explain it. This isn’t an obscure bit of terminology. That wikipedia article would have popped right at the top of search results if you had tried searching.
