They’ll invite you to break bread and then vote for your literal death. They are completely incapable of empathy more than one hop away from themselves. They want to be viewed as kind and welcoming but never want to be confronted with the actual consequences of their political beliefs and they’ll do anything - including gutting their children’s education, banning books, and suppressing others’ voices - to make sure they never have to be confronted with even the slightest bit of discomfort.
