FedEx office (at least the one here near me in PDX) has a fascinating and moronic policy: if you send in a print job, like, say, a 60 page double-sided full color document): "There is a $17 surcharge for any print job over $50 picked up the same day. " Let's think about this. Surely a rational business trying to reduce the burden on staff would consider a surcharge for jobs of UNDER $50, to ensure that having employees spending zero-sum time on something is worth that time? By punishing customers who are prepared to spend a suitable amount, you make them not just inconvenienced (to save the surcharge I needed to pick up the order this morning) but also hating you and everyone you employ.
