The temptation to use a different, non-fedi social to share my writing and poetry and thoughts is pretty tempting sometimes. Like, okay. I don't write smutty spice, or poetry, or whatev else for money, or to build a brand, or to get ppl to sub to my stuffs, but IS nice when ppl read and comment. Mostly tho, I (and other indie writers I guess) are invisible. Lol, I guess the writing bot likes my stuffs? I've tried Archive Of Our Own but at least my experience was that if u aren't writing fanfics, u are invisible. Maybe I was doing it wrong? There's Tumblr, Bluesky, I guess? I hate that if I want real feedback, I have to compromise and use the ick tho! And I mean TOS and data miners ugh. #fedi #fediproblems #writing #writers #Bluesky #Tumblr

Depending on topic & such, tagging works, bookmarking & tagging and adding to collections & tagging can possibly help. At least if the way people search for stuff resembles mine at all. Original works that are completely untagged are basically impossible to find unless one already knows they exist or the author. (Outside of browsing by newest everything around the time they're posted/updated they won't be found.) (If only ao3 provided FTS datasets or db dumps, one could work around the limitations of its search engine.)
