@gwynnion@mastodon.social I haven't bought a new computer in 15 years. Did buy a refurbished laptop about 5 years ago, still my daily driver. Other than that I usually get given computers by people who consider them junk after 5-6 years because they are slow or don't play newer games. I just install Linux on them and keep using until they truly die.
