The irony, of course, is that this administration says it is dedicated to stopping the misuse of federal dollars. But "fraud" has become just one more excuse to cut off funds to blue states and blue states only. They have blocked $2.7 billion in funding to CA and MN. bsky.app/profile/atru... Meanwhile the actual Inspectors General tasked with catching fraud within the exec branch have been gutted: leaders fired, positions left vacant, staff cuts of around 20%. Result: around 25% fewer investigations (and have more reason to believe they will be fired if investigations are critical).
