@pedersen@c.im I've taken a quick look at their "so you want to write a plugin?" and it seems they have *written* an example "hello world" plugin for newbies to try. Whether that also means that they've improved the documentation, I don't know. As for writing a separate app, there are a few reasons why my answer to that would be "no". I like that Obsidian plugins work on both Android and Linux, without, presumably, the plugin writer having to do the heavy lifting to get something to work on both. Also, I'm reasonably familiar with TypeScript, so that would also reduce the learning curve needed. And part of the reason I'm thinking "plugin" is because of the convenience of being able to do something from within Obsidian, rather switching back and forth between programs.
