Especially for my non-English-speaking compatriots, name the English words that you thought for the longest mean something totally different than they actually do.

@undefined_variable@mementomori.social @zeggo@mastodontti.fi Benevolent. Thought it meant the opposite. Probably as it was often describing a god of sorts, and I had a fixed idea on how they acted in storied and influenced people 😀
