I’m just pointing out even there manufacturers seem to have decided they might as well put the USB serial chip inside the hardware, rather than in the cable 😉
Traditions die hard, but I wouldn’t be surprised if even high end network gear is USB only for OOB serial by about 2030.
(I have USB-A/C to 8p8c cables too. Definitely handy for older network gear!)
