@siblingsofthevoid@void.lgbt culturally my feeling is that "ask a LLM" is the successor to "copy the existing projects" which i heard a lot of in the switch homebrew scene "why are you trying to understand the implementation, just copy the syntax" with mystery variables i can't make sense of, and more moving parts than a car engine except this time around there's the environmental impact and centralization of power (i'd say erosion of thinking too, but copy-paste programming did it first)

    @nyanpasu64@donotsta.re yeah absolutely. I have such a genuine hatred for LLMs and it's not even because of the technology... The tech is interesting and kinda cool but the way we use it is to shortcut thought and no longer think about the problems on our own...
