An $8 LTE stick that becomes a full-fledged Linux computer. TL;DR: OpenStick turns cheap 4G Wi-Fi dongles built around the Qualcomm MSM8916 SoC (Snapdragon 410) into tiny ARM64 Linux boards with a built-in LTE modem, Wi-Fi and USB-gadget capability. Kicked off by the Chinese hacker HandsomeYingyan, who released a modified lk2nd bootloader and kernel patches.
