@acb@mastodon.social That would be amazing. I already get to/from the continent by train much of the time, but the 4h15m LNER to London followed by 2h30m on EuroStar, with connecting times, is a bit tedious. Would be good to just rock up to the platform at Waverley at 11pm and go to bed, then wake up in Brussels or Amsterdam (or, coming soon, Berlin).

@cstross@wandering.shop Mind you, I’d also accept a revival of North Sea ferries that were axed in the age of cheap flights. A catamaran ferry between, say, Leith/Newcastle and Gothenburg/Esbjerg/Bergen would be a good alternative to trains especially in northern Europe.
