Studies like these only reinforce my belief that folks who promote and extol the virtues of #LLM / #AI either don't care at all about how they contribute to devastating our climate, or they claim to care but in actuality only have loosely held beliefs that they've no problem with ignoring when it becomes inconvenient for them.
