Anyway, It's the 21st century. All zoos use animals as props, and all zoos are unnecessary anachronisms. You appear to be confusing zoos with wildlife sanctuaries. They aren't: just a tiny minority of animals held in zoos are endangered, and the vast majority are held in pens to sell tickets. Europe isn't a special case. Zoos on the continent routinely kill thousands of perfectly healthy animals every year, and have been doing so for decades.
